TL;DR
The robot butler of 1960s magazine covers has a scorecard now. Figure's humanoid, Figure 03, walked into 30 Bay Area homes it had never seen and made beds, folded towels and tidied toys, finishing the whole job 237 times out of 420, a bit better than half. Bed making worked about two times in three. That is the best hard number yet on a humanoid doing chores in real homes, and the company now says it is building these robots in the thousands. It also means the robot fails almost as often as it succeeds, every number comes from Figure itself, and there is still no price and no delivery date. The household humanoid is no longer a fantasy; it is a reliability problem.
